Hitting Home

This is an old schoolhouse (I believe) in Cave Springs.

I got up this morning and took Cain to school and when I got home Mom and Jonah got ready and we went and ate breakfast, then stopped by my doctor's office to get my hormone shot (thank gosh!) and then I took them to Uncle Tony's. My brother met us there and took Jonah with him.

When we got there Uncle Tony was asleep on his hospital bed and when I saw him sleeping there, that's when everything hit me. We're losing him. He's dying. I canNOT believe it. I just can't. And I feel like I should apologize for having such a sad blog lately, but it is my life, so it's here. But anyway, I was overwhelmed with love for him today. His Hospice nurse came so I decided to leave. I kissed him on the cheek (several times) to tell him goodbye and that I loved him, he looked at me as I raised up and just held my hand a little longer than normal and told me he loved me, too. I can't even tell you how much I love him and how much this hurts. I'm going to go see him as much as I can until ??? well, until this is over.
