Fab Four
From left, Teela, Tabitha, Shai, & Brookie
Brooke got home in time to go to her senior night for basketball. When they were calling out the line-up to start the game she got to walk out on the court as they called her name, number, and position. It was very bittersweet and a lot of tears were shed. She received a standing ovation from her teammates. It was great. :)
After the game the seniors listened as their teammates read letters to them and then received photos, cards, and other mementos from the past four years. The coach said something personal to each of them and as a whole. We talked about how during their freshman year, when they were known as "Scrubs," how exciting it would be to watch the four of them play the last 26 seconds or so of a game. :) It was a wonderful celebration of the "Fab Four."
Brooke was so happy to be there--(mainly because she was high on her pain meds)--- ;) We didn't think she would get to join the other three for senior night, but luckily her doctor told her that she could go if she felt like it. I'm so glad she did.
Good luck in all you do, Fab Four!
