I have a hiatal hernia and acid reflux disease. Aren't you jealous? Anyway, last night I was sound asleep and woke up choking to death. It happens often and I get SO sick of it. I take medicine daily to keep it under control but sometimes it doesn't work.

Anyway, it made me very sick and I didn't go to work today. I had a hard time breathing after the episode was over, and of course that freaked me out so I had to talk myself out of a panic attack. Today I've been running a temperature and wasn't even able to get out of bed until about two hours ago. I'm going to go ahead and make an appointment with my doctor to see if I need to go ahead and have surgery to repair the hernia.

I feel bad for not going to work today because I took a vacation day tomorrow. I'm sure it looks like I just laid out so I could have an extended weekend. That's not the case at all. :( Maybe I'll go in for a little bit tomorrow to get all my work caught up.
