Headed For Home

Today is March 1. It is 32 degrees outside. THIRTY-TWO degrees. BUT, the wind chill made it feel like 19 degrees. NINETEEN! My son's baseball team had their first baseball game and it was also Cain's first high school game.
Cain is the player in blue on the left. He made it home. :) He pitched and played center field tonight and had a good game. But bless all their hearts, they were really having a hard time feeling their hands, faces, legs, etc. You can imagine how hard it was to feel the ball. It's way too cold for baseball!
Sad story: Two boys from Darlington, a private school in Rome, died over the weekend when they were lost at sea during a camping/canoeing trip to Florida. The boys were found yesterday, I believe. They were eight miles off shore, and within one mile of one another. They were Cain's age. Darlington is one of the school's we play against in various sports. We are heartbroken for the school, their classmates, and their families. Probably no-one from there will ever see this, but our hearts, prayers, and thoughts are with you all. Godspeed in your healing.
