No Place Like Home

This is the living room at my Dad's house. I miss living there so much, but luckily I only live 20 minutes away. :)
We loved living in a log cabin, but we weren't the only ones that loved those logs: scorpions also enjoyed them. Me and my (baby) brother had to check our sheets every single night after we said our prayers to make sure there were no scorpions hiding in them. We never got stung but would find a scorpion in our beds once or twice a month. The exterminator didn't phase them with all of his chemical goods. :)
Funny the things you recall with a fondness, isn't it? LOL

I have a friend at work that his mom in Arizona got stung by a Scorpion recently. But I didn't think NC would have them! The bug guy in Arizona said the only way you can control them is to take aware their food source, bugs and the like. Kind of hard to do that!
