No Place Like Home

No Place Like Home

A storm was blowing in, so the sky was ugly, but the day was great. :) I was five when my parents (who are divorced) started building the home and I "helped" my Dad gather those rocks for the fireplace. I use "helped" loosely because he told me today that I mostly just fell down over the rocks a lot. :)

The cabin itself was built in the early 1800's. My Dad bought it and brought it piece by piece to Lookout Mountain in north Georgia. I love the place. :)

My stepmother gave me lots and lots of flowers. I can't wait to get up in the morning to plant them all. :) We walked all over the yard so she could let me choose which ones I wanted. She has so many different varieties. I brought home about five or six different kinds. I bet I have over 50 flowers to plant tomorrow. :)

Hi, This is Kandi's MOM..Essie
I found your Blog, when I went to Kandi's seems like Kandi has not been working on her blog much, but she has had enough problems to make her not want to do anything I would say..
As for your Dad,I have known him most of my life and his family, I went to school with Peck.
You are a beautiful girl, Kandi had a pic of you on her blog and yes you do favor your Dad, I never really knew your Mom, but I know she had to be a very special lady
because she had a daughter like you. Keep planting your flowers they can bring you peace and joy.
love ya, Kandi's Mom...Essie
