We have just a hair less than an acre of land and I love to mow it. I always feel like I've accomplished something grand when I admire how pretty my yard looks.
As I was pushing the mower up the little hill in our backyard, I was singing to myself. The song? "The old gray mare, she ain't what she used to be, ain't what she used to be, ain't what she used to be..." I wondered why THAT song, of ALL the stupid songs I know, was the one that popped in my head. Maybe my subconcious was trying to tell me something. My knees joined in on the chorus and soon after my arms were chiming in, too. I'm only 36. Yes, four years away from 40. Isn't that way too young to be feeling aches and pains of *gasp* aging?
Oh, I took this photo of the poppies over by the post office.
