This eagle has a deformed beak due to either A) being stepped on by his parents when he was still in the nest, or B) environmental contaminants. His handlers say that he gets along quite nicely, but would've never made it in the wild.

I got SO sick at work today that I wasn't sure that I was even going to be able to get myself home, and I only live one mile from my work. I think I got food poisoning because I was fine until I went to lunch. Ugh, food poisoning and then having to stay at work is no fun.

I hope everyone has some fun plans for the 4th of July. We are going to my in-laws for a cookout and I cannot wait. :) I love them so much. They have always been so good to me and I just can't wait to see them.

I watched fireworks from my backyard tonight. We don't live too far from the city park and they always have a huge Freedom Festival. We usually go but I didn't want to chance it with my tummy doing its on version of Cirque du Soleil.
