Business As Usual

I had a business lunch today at Mellow Mushroom which was quite nice. It appears that the job is mine and I'm very excited about it. I'll get paid a flat fee for going on photo shoots and then paid hourly for the time I'm doing photo editing. In the meantime I'll be learning the ropes and then can start doing weddings and whatnot.

I'll be working most weekends and so that allows me to get a part-time job also. I will have to find a job that will work around photo shoots and I believe that I've got that lined up, too. Seems like all of the chips are falling into place, which is nice because we have gotten ourselves into quite a financial hole in the past few years. :( Blah.

Prayer is a good thing. I forget that sometimes, but not for long. I pray on a daily basis and I know God is listening. I also remember my motto in life: "This too shall pass." Some things just take much longer to pass than others, and those things are usually the BAD things, doggone it.

If I can endure for this minute
Whatever is happening to me,
No matter how heavy my heart is
Or how dark the moment may be-

If I can remain calm and quiet
With all the world crashing about me,
Secure in the knowledge God loves me
When everyone else seems to doubt me-

If I can but keep on believing
What I know in my heart to be true,

For as long as this knowledge remains
I can suffer whatever is happening
For I know God will break all of the chains

That are binding me tight in the darkness
And trying to fill me with fear-
For there is no night without dawning
And I know that my morning is near.
