Brooke left for school this morning at 7:30 when Marshall and Cain left out for work and school. This was the first time that I didn't cry when she left, but I think it's because she left when they did and I just expected she'd be getting home in the afternoon when they came home. It's 11:09 p.m. and I'm hanging in there pretty good. No tears yet, but my chest still hurts like it always does when she goes.
We had a ballgame tonight down in Gaylesville, Alabama. Our JV played first and beat the team we were playing 21-1. Then we played and won 28-4. We were all freezing to death. Finally, to end the game, the boys started swinging at everything. I felt horrible for the other team, 'cause we've been on the losing side all year, but they seemed to be glad we were doing it.
While they were playing, it was 31 degrees w/the wind chill, or thereabouts. We were out there for a total of five and a half hours. I was so cold by the time I drug myself to the car that I literally could not turn the ignition when I finally got the key in. I had to sit there for a minute to be able to get the car on. I don't think I've ever been that cold in my life. It was NOT fun at all.
Have a beautiful Wednesday!
