Dad's Day

We got up early this morning, got ready, and left our house at 4:30 a.m. for Statesboro so that Marshall could be with Brooke for "Dad's Day" at GSU. He had a great time and I hope she did, too--even after the "intervention." Hee hee. ;) This is Brooke with her Dad (of course), her boyfriend Chad and Chad's Dad.

They started the day at the blue and white game at the school. I only stopped by for about 20 minutes just to get some photos. It was, after all, Dad's Day and not Mom's Day. They BETTER be for having a Mom's Day soon though. :D From there they all went to one of the homes of the boys and had a huge shrimp boil. Marshall said it was delicious. *gag*

While they were doing their thing (Cain stayed w/them) I drove to the old town of Statesboro and took pictures of the city. It's a beautiful old town. I had a good time. I got lots of good shots of the Statesboro Inn, which is an old home turned into a bed andbreakfast. It's gorgeous.

I didn't get to spend a whole lot of time with Brooke which made me sad, we have to leave in the morning. Hopefully we'll be getting a check that we've been waiting on for MONTHS this coming week and we can go down there and stay w/her for a couple of days when Cain gets out of school. That will be nice. :)

Oh, and Cain's knee is feeling much bettery today. He's still hobbling but we've been taking good care of him. :) He's walking on crutches and keeping the weight off. Your prayers are working!
