Back In Time

Marshall and I wasted ALL freakin' day today driving to Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was not very far out of our way as we were headed home, however, we got stuck in traffic, but not until there was no way to turn around, ie, no more exits. We sat in traffic for almost three hours.

The photo above was taken after we got past the rough stuff. We're heading through the tunnel which goes UNDER the bay area of the ocean. Apparently, when you get to the other side of the tunnel you're back in the 80's. What we DIDN'T know until it was too late was that Poison & Whitesnake were in concert on the beach. That meant that every teenager and teenager-wanna-be and all their kids were AT the beach. We never even got out of the truck. I've never seen so many people in my life. Ugh.

We are staying in Waynesboro, Virginia, and in the morning we're going to get up and stop by Natural Bridge, Virginia on our way home. I can't wait. Today was such a bust. :(

Oh well, lesson learned: stay away from Va. Beach at all costs.
