Sidetracked

This morning I spent my time in the doctor's office waiting to get my hormone shot that I'm exactly 11 days late on getting. I say this every month, I realize this, but why is it so hard for me to drive the two freakin' miles to my doctor's office to get a shot that keeps me sane and sans headaches and hotflashes? I'm a little bit nuts.

I woke up again at just a little after 4 this morning, just like the day before. That means I've had about 8 hours of sleep in two days. I NEED sleep. Why can't I sleep? :( I don't nap during the day. I fiddle around the house all day doing things; I keep busy so it's not like I'm sitting around being a slug. I don't understand...

Kandi and I stayed on track this morning and went for a two-mile walk. We tried (just a little bit) to talk ourselves out of the walk because the sky was about as dark as it is at night. We didn't though and I'm so proud of us. :) Yesterday we walked three miles. We totally rock. :)

Oh, and before I went to the dr. I stopped by the Messenger and guess what? I lost another 1.5 lbs! Yay! :) I'm not going to get on the scales all the time though, because the first time I see that I'm not losing I'll be disappointed and convince myself that my efforts aren't paying off.

My buddy Chrisi brought me a surprise yesterday: a little canvas bag that she made the CUTEST stitching on. It's a little scarecrow for fall and I JUST love it. :) She gave him green eyes, just like mine. :D I'll take photos later and show you how cute it is. :) Chrisi has a store on Etsy and she's adding more and more things all the time. You should certainly consider some of her goods for Christmas gifts. You can find her store, "Buy the Stitch," BY CLICKING HERE. You need to put your order in early so she'll have enough time to get your gift made. :) But anyway, I really appreciate my sweet gift Chrisi. *BIG HUGS*

Appetizer
Measured in minutes or hours, how much exercise have you had in the last week? What a great question. So far, since Tuesday, I've walked nine miles. :) I'm hopefully on my way to a whole new me. :)

Soup
If you had to change your blog title to something else, what would it be? I have absolutely no idea. Maybe "Through My Eyes" or something equally as boring. :)

Salad
Name one television show you watched when you were 9-12 years old. Charlie's Angels. :)

Main Course
If someone gave you $50 to spend with the one condition that it had to be educational, what would you purchase? Probably books on the history of north Georgia. I'm getting very interested in what happened in the areas in which I live/have lived.
Dessert
Do you tend to prefer dark colors, neutral shades, or lighter/pastel hues? Neutral shades, but I'm liking pastels more and more.

hmmmm! 9 miles since Tuesday...hurrah, hurrah! I hiked two hours yesterday in the woods. Could've been shorter, but I stopped to take a picture of something...then had to hike back to pick up my 'corn' knife because I'd left it on the ground!
You go girl...[told you I'd be cheering you on!]

The lack of sleep is a direct result of the putting off of the hormone shot. One of the biggest complaints of (dare I say it) menopausal women is waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep. Okay I know you are not menopausal, but you have to get the shots. Don't be mad. I bet you sleep like a baby tonight.

Now that the team for Blogger Beta has fixed it to be able to comment on all blogs, I can congratulate you on losing. Keep it up. Maybe if you lose the weight, it will give me encouragement to get up off my lazy butt and do something about my extra pounds. :)

I'm so glad you like your bag! Thanks for the plug. :o)
