Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
~Robert Frost

That is one of my favorite poems. I first heard it, as most of us probably did, in the movie "The Outsiders." I think it's quite powerful and doggone sad. I absolutely LOVE it. Do you ever think of your life in seasons: spring, summer, fall & winter? I do. :)

I realized today that I haven't been committed to any of my goals. I haven't been walking, haven't been working on my photos like I need to, and I haven't been praying very much. Prayer isn't really a goal, it's a part of my life. I pray a LOT, probably way more than your average person, but just in the past couple of weeks or so I haven't been praying. I don't like that. I want and need my relationship with God to remain my priority in life. I've got to get back on track. With everything.

I'm still battling this cold. I can't taste anything and it's driving me bananas. Thanks to the advice of my buddy Kandi, I got some Shower Soothers and I'm headed there now to try one. :)

Have a great night!

I loved that movie. Sorry to hear that you're sick too. Get better soon. Since I finally have got my computer up and running again I'm going to try and catch up on what I've missed the past week this weekend.
