My sister is home for the weekend and after work I headed up on the mountain. My Dad treated us to the Canyon Grill (where my stepmother has been service manager for 10 years) for supper and it was FANtastic. The food is absolutely divine and if you live near Lookout Mtn. then you should certainly eat there. My sister and I both had filet mignon which just melts in your mouth, and my Dad had the walleye, which is overnighted from Canada, fresh as new fallen snow. :) For dessert we shared their coconut cake and the amaretto brownie. Yummy! Their specialty though, and what they are known all over the south for, is their Slash-N-Burn Catfish. I don't eat fish but I guess at some point I'll have to try it.
It's so good having my sister home. We never see each other. We were extremely close when we were growing up, and were best friends until I got married and she moved away. I really miss her. She had been camping the night before and was so tired. I'm glad she wanted to go out to eat. And you can SEE how excited Daddy was to have his two daughters with him. ;) Actually, that was about the third time Becky (my stepmom) tried to snap the photo. I think he was thinking it wasn't going to work again. :)

Canyon Grill is the greatest. I love love love the grilled cabbage there. Definitely worth the drive and the wait.
