More of the Same

Here's my sad little mohawked Toukie Bear at the Gordon Lee the other night. You know, the game against our "hated" rivals--the one where they kicked our booties? :( Isn't he a little doll? He looks a LOT like me, of course. (o= Anyway, the mohawk is all gone now. He, with his Dad's help, shaved it off tonight.

Thanksgiving is soon upon us. I started making out my grocery list tonight. I love shopping for Thanksgiving dinner. I cook just about everything--unless my Mom brings stuff, but she hasn't in the last three years or so since she and my stepfather got a divorce. She didn't even come last year since my uncle had just passed away. Maybe things will be back to normal now. Who knows.. I can't believe it has almost been a year (on the 16th) since he died. I think about him EVERY single day. :) Good memories. No crying allowed. ;)

Belated congratulations to one of my best buddies, Eric. He won the Beacon Award for outstanding reporting on education (I think I'm saying that right). Anyway, it's a great honor and we're all pretty proud of him. :) Congrats, Eric!
