Need A Nap

My buddy & fellow co-worker Tim and I rather enjoyed ourselves last night when we handed out the candy to all the little trick-or-treaters. There were such cute little kids this year and once again, I had a blast.

I was disgusted at the ADULTS who were OLDER THAN ME (I'm 37) who came around to get candy. What a bunch of goons. Don't they realize they are taking candy away from the kids? I'm all for being young at heart, but you have to draw the line somewhere. I felt the same about the teenagers who are driving age, who didn't dress up, and just walked around like you owed them a piece of candy. Freakin' brats. :)

Our spot was the best on the square and we sure cracked ourselves up. I mean Tim is funny, but whoa, when you combine HIS sense of humor with MY amazing ability to make myself laugh, well, you just better watch out. ;)

I didn't sleep worth a darn last night and it's just 1:30 and I'm sitting here wishing I could take a nap. I couldn't though, even if I were home, because my house looks like a house that someone has abandoned but didn't take their belongings. *sigh* It's a disaster.

Cain and Brooke are both aggravated with me because I won't let Cain go to Statesboro with someone that I DON'T EVEN KNOW this weeked. That's just too bad though. I'm sorry if I'm such a mean mom, but that's just how I roll...

Honestly, I don't blame you one bit for not letting Cain go with someone you don't know. I wouldn't let CR go with anyone that I didn't know. They'll soon get over it and when they have children of their own they will the same idea as you. :)

Of course, I say let him go. He's almost grown, a good kid, makes good choices and he misses his sister. Nothing like a good road trip when you are that age to put some wonder lust in you. You don't want him to be too scared to go out and discover life and the worldn do you? You don't want him to settle down young and live in this same town forever and marry and have kids when he is 20 (or younger) do you?

He'd have a ball! You are a good parent. You've raised him right, he knows your rules and you've taught him to make good judgments. If you lay the ground rules and let him know you trust him by letting him do this, then he'll appreciate it and do you right. And if he DOESN'T and screws it up, then he's shooting himself in the foot for the next time.
