I think I had maybe FOUR ads to do at work today and otherwise it was a super-slow day, which was fine by me. :)
My co-workers and I (I love those gals SO much) spent the day looking at Christmas catalogs, listening to Christmas music, and we made Christmas wishlists. :) I've had mine (over there to your right) for a while now, but I talked them into doing it, too. "Our boys," as I have lovingly dubbed them (E & T), weren't there all day because they had to come in tonight to cover the elections, so there was no complaining about all the Christmas chatter. It was great. (Not really guys, I missed you both VERY much.) *wink wink*
Brooke's sweet-as-pumpkin-pie boyfriend brought me a poinsettia last year and it's the prettiest thing I've ever seen. Somehow I managed to keep it alive all year and I want the leaves to turn red again. I didn't know how to make that happen, so I Googled it, and it says that the plant needs FOURTEEN hours of total darkness a day. Ugh, that makes me so sad. But I, with a heavy heart, put my poinsettia in the closet. Poor little guy. I feel like I'm punishing it or something. So anyway, if someone knows any OTHER way, or more specific tips to get its leaves to turn red, please do let me know. :)
Speaking of the closet, Neil Patrick Harris (Doogie Howser) came out of his. I have to admit, I had no clue. It's a crying shame really, because as my daughter and friends can tell you, I have an awesome gaydar. Oh well... (is it offensive to say gaydar? Because I don't MEAN to be offensive). Someone let me know. :D
Tomorrow I'm starting back on reading my Bible on a regular basis. Why don't I start tonight? Because I need to be completely alert to comprehend what I'm reading. While my goal is to read the whole Bible, the bigger picture is that I want to read it AND understand what I can of it. I read several books out of each Testament last year and I look forward into getting back into it.
Have a terrific night. :)

Well Rachel I looked at your Christmas wish list! Yum! I'm no way ready for xmas. Just call me slow. And yes that is what you have to do with the poinsetta. I don't do anything with ours from the office and it turns red around Valentine's day. I let nature and December's cloudy days handle it.
