4-Day Weekend, Comin' RIIIIGHT Up!

This is our tree this year but you'll have to excuse the horrible looking window in the background. We are slowly but surely remodeling the living room and I've recently pulled all of the wallpaper off the walls, thrown away the curtains, and have yet to pull down the curtain rod hardware. It looks yucky.

Today was my last day of work. The girls and myself all switch out days for the holidays so I'm taking tomorrow off and I don't have to go back until Tuesday. Yay! I'm glad to be off for a while because my butt is TIRED.

A local chiropractor offered a free exam and x-rays if you brought in an unwrapped toy for local needy children so I thought I'd take the opportunity to finally go to one. I've always been SUCH a big chicken about going to see one because quite frankly, I was certain my neck would be broken like a toothpick when it was being adjusted and it would kill me. Luckily, he didn't kill me and the visit was SO much better than I expected. :D My back popped louder than a bowl of Rice Krisipies--several times over and it was great. I rather enjoyed the visit because after you're all done with adjustments you get to go have your back and neck massaged. That was my favorite part. :) Well that, and he didn't kill me.

Cain was finally able to go back to work tonight. He was feeling much better today. He still looks sick though. I hope that he isn't going back too early. He got his tires today, which was his Christmas gift and he's tickled to pieces about them. I'm glad, too. I had to sell a kidney to afford the stupid things.

13 Recent Favorites (in no particular order)

1. My "Daughtry" CD, by American Idol Runner-up Chris Daughtry. Honestly, the best CD of its genre that I've ever listened to. Ever.

2. My painting that my cousin Tiffany gave to me at Christmas. I just love its folk-art appeal.

3. Rediscovering my contacts on Flickr (www.flickr.com). My life has been so busy that I haven't had much time to spend on flickr, which has been a favorite spot for a couple of years now. It feels good to be back. :)

4. Being back at work with my co-workers. I've been back for a couple of months now and I still get up each morning, anxious to get there. I really enjoy my job.

5. Going to the movies with my Daddy. We had lots of fun and the movie (Apocalypto) was good, too.

6. Google Groups. The group that I help administer (Outdoor Photos) recently moved from Yahoo to Google and it's SOO much better. I love Google-everything.

7. Shopping online for my Christmas gifts. No sales tax, and sometimes free shipping. You can't beat that!

8. Having my bills caught up--even here at Christmas time. :)

9. Picasa2, which is also by Google, a nifty, free photo-editing software. It's quick and I like using its features when I'm in a hurry instead of PS2 when I can.

10. Dollar General Store. You can't beat their prices for cleaning supplies. I love it.

11. Southern Living magazine. I love it.

12. Firefox web browser. I love the tab feature. It's awesome! I know IE7 has tabs now, too, but it's still not as good as Firefox IMHO.

13. Having my family all together. We've been having a good time just hanging out. :)

G'night.

Much love your way, sweetie!
