Looooong Day

This is my puppy, Chunky Monkey. Isn't he adorable? Chunk, as he's mostly called, thinks he's hiding from me in the leaves. He waits for a minute and then pounces on me. I love him to pieces.

Today seemed to last forever. Work was super-slow and I was anxious to get out of there today. I have so much to do at home that it's not even funny. Since I've started back to work my house looks like a pigsty. I hate having a dirty house. It puts me in a bad mood. I did so well at keeping it spotless when I was not working. Anyway, hopefully I'll have time this weekend to get it in some sort of order.

Brookie started back to work today. She'll be able to transfer w/the same company when she goes back to school so that will be nice. She's making better money than she was while working at the restaurant for that psycho. I'm glad she switched jobs.

At 2:16 this morning I woke up to a loud crash. It was so loud that it woke Marshall up and he usually doesn't wake up for ANYthing. I came in the living room to find that my "Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much" wooden sign had fallen off the wall. It didn't JUST fall off the wall, it landed about five feet from where it was hanging and was somehow up on my laptop--sort of. That sign has been hanging in the same spot for seven years. No brackets were loose on the back of it and the nails that it hangs on aren't loose. Those nails are even slanted upwards a little bit to make sure that it stays on the wall. Marshall says it fell because the house is settling. I think it was our ghost. ;) For real though, how in the heck did it land where it landed? Could it have bounced that far? Odd, for sure.

13 more days until Christmas. :)
