Ready For the Weekend

I am SO ready for the weekend. I've only worked three days this week thus far but it has been the longest week ever, or it least that is how it seems.

Tomorrow Marshall and I are headed on a three-day weekend vacation with our buddies, E&D. We're really looking forward to it, too. The Weather Channel reports rain in the area that we're going to be in and I sure hope it's wrong. I'm hoping for beautiful weather so I can take lots of photos. :) Anyway, we've never been on vacation w/out the kids so it's going to be odd I guess. I have family coming down to stay with Cain so at least I won't have to worry about him while I'm gone.

~~Thursday 13~~
13 Christmas Favorites (in no particular order)
1. I got a new camera! I'm so excited about it, too. I haven't got to use it very much and I'm about to go crazy to get out there with it.

2. My painting from my cousin Tiffany. It's beautiful.

3. Ending up with a painting from Marshall's aunt at our Shaggy Santa Christmas. Hee hee! I had to trade my gift to get it, then someone got it from me, then someone got it from that person and LUCKILY Marshall was # 46 out of 50 so he took it back. *doing the happy dance* I've been wanting one of her paintings for years.

4. Playing Singstar Rocks with Brooke, Cain and Marshall. And I gotta say, I kicked their butts at it. I think if I weren't too old I'd try out for American Idol. I mean you should HEAR me sing! ;)

5. This has nothing to do with Christmas but I just want to say I love Dane Cook. :) His laugh is one of the greatest laughs I've ever heard. His jokes are pretty funny, too. ;o) "You know the cheese that comes with the nachos? Just the cheese. I don't need the nachos. No, just the cheese." (If you know Brooke, have her do this for you, she does a dead-on impersonation of him)

6. Beating my family at Trivial Pursuit 80's Edition was lots of fun. :D

7. Going to see "A Night At the Museum" with Brooke. If you haven't gone to see it, you need to. It's fantastic.

8. Watching Marshall open his gifts was a huge favorite. He never gets a lot of gifts but boy he did this year. :)

9. Enjoying Christmas music on Yahoo's Launchcast. That's a great little free program and it had all sorts of Christmas stations. :)

10. Being in my bedroom ready to go to bed at night and hearing Brooke and Cain laugh and talk for most of the night.

11. Remembering all the wonderful Christmases I had with my two late grandmothers and being thankful that I had all the years with them that I had.

12. Watching the kids open their gifts.

13. Christmas spirit. I get totally consumed by it. I wish everyone knew how great it felt. :) And I promise, this will be the last thing I say about Christmas. At least for a while. :)

Have a good night.
