Both of my guys are very sick. You can probably tell how "blah" Marshall feels from looking at this picture. Well, ok. He looks this way a lot, but *I* can tell he's sick. ;) We've heard rumor that there were 30 kids from Cain's school home sick on Friday, so I guess whatever it is that kept them all home is what Marshall and Cain have now.My house is a disaster area. I was in Atlanta all weekend. Marshall and Cain were in Indiana, and when we all got home we just dumped pretty much everything at the door. There is something wrong with every single room in this house; not one room is clean. I was thoroughly disgusted this morning and in a bad mood about it (and grouchy) until I read a post that my friend Chas had written. It put things into perspective for me. :) My house is still a disaster area and if anyone at all dropped by I'd probably have a mild stroke from embarrassment, but you know, at least I have a house and I'm thankful for that. :)
I mentioned it yesterday but I wanted to say again what a blast I had at that wedding reception on Saturday. I've already told anyone that will listen (and I ain't kiddin') that for my 40th birthday I want a dance party. I want a DJ who will play all of my favorite dance songs and I want all my friends and family there to bust a move with me. It better happen (you got that, kids? I'm giving you both "the look" right now!)! What fun. I love to dance. I don't care that I can't, I do it anyway. :)
I was tagged by my pal Ellen to do a list of six quirks, and then I have to tag three people to do the same. Here are my quirks:
Quirks
(and I probably mentioned some of them before)
1. When I take eggs out of the carton, I arrange the eggs so that they will balance the carton. They have to be perfectly aligned. Sometimes I'll spend more time than I should getting this done just right, especially when there are less than six eggs in the carton. :)
2. My clothes have to be hung a certain way on the hanger and if you help me and put the clothes on the hanger "backwards" I will take the item of clothing off and do it "right." :)
3. I will NOT touch the cotton in the top of a medicine bottle. It absolutely makes me sick to my stomach to think about how the cotton feels between my fingers. Eew.
4. My favorite drink is Diet Coke, but it has to be in a can. I will not drink Diet Coke from a fountain or a bottle; I choose regular Coke if I have to choose from those two things.
5. If we have a loaf of bread in the house, and buy a new loaf before that one is finished, I will eat from the new loaf instead of using up the old loaf, same thing with chips or peanut butter. It makes my husband CRAZY. :)
6. I love to check out and read books from the library but never once have I taken them back on time. I don't know why that is. I live less than a mile from the library. I NEVER take them back on time, even if I drive by there a million times. *shrug*
Here are the rules:
* link to the person who tagged you
* post the rules on your blog
* share six non-important things/ habits/ quirks about yourself
* tag at least 3 people at the end of the post and link to their blogs
* let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
Here are my three: Val, Jen, & Nancy.

LOL! Thanks for doing the quirks. I guess you would not make a good pharmacist not wanting to touch the cotton in the top of medicine bottles. I'll be thinking of that today at work! I like to start the new bread too!
