This morning I got up early and tried to photograph some of the birds in my yard, but of course as soon as I got out there, the gazillions of birds I have all flew off and hid. The tufted titmouse and the chickadees are always brave and never stay away too long. I didn't stay out there long though because I had to get ready so this is the best picture I got.Marshall and I left and headed up to his parents house. Marshall's mom is a tax genius and she helped Marshall get everything ready with his business for tax season. We were up there for quite a while and they got a lot accomplished. Marshall's mom finished everything up when we left. We ate lunch with them in our hometown and then headed back up Lookout Mtn. to my grandfather's house.
I don't know if you remember or not but my 91-year old grandfather bought himself a Canon 30D for Christmas this year. A Canon 30D FOR CRYIN' OUT LOUD! Not only is it a not-so-cheap-camera, but it's got a lot of "doo-hickeys" and "whatnots" that he has no clue what to do with. Heck, I don't even know what to do with them all. Anyway, I showed him the basics and I hope he remembers it all. Bless his heart, he can't hear a thing (even with his hearing aid) and so I was literally yelling the instructions to him. I'm not kidding, I was YELLING. Anyway, I hope to go shooting with him soon. I know we'd have a blast. He's a lot of fun and "I" would probably be the one who would be exhausted after a day out with him.
Marshall and I left there and got home a little bit ago. I've been washing clothes and getting ready for a short trip out of town with Marshall. Does the laundry ever get finished? I swear, there's only three people here but we dirty more clothes than ...well, I don't know, but we dirty a lot of clothes.
Yesterday afternoon I went and watched a bit of the football play-offs with my friends Matt and Sheila:
You can probably tell they are Green Bay fans, right? It makes sense since they are from Wisconsin. :) Tim and Jen and Max were also there:
Max is the cutest thing. :) He's growing like a weed! Anyway, Tim had a photo shoot in Ringgold and Matt had to shoot a basketball game so I was only there for a couple of hours. Marshall was going to come up when he got home but he didn't get back until 8:30 and I was home by 7:15ish. It was great seeing them though. :) Thanks guys, for inviting me--and thanks for the yummy steak! :)Even though yesterday was the 12th I started my Bible reading with Jan. 1st's entry. I read the first six days, which was Genesis 1-11, and then Job 1-13. I'll read a couple of more days tonight and hopefully be caught up with my days by tomorrow.
Genesis is hard to read and already I'm questioning things that I don't understand. The first question I have is why God would even put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden if it would be best that Adam and Eve didn't touch it. And where did all of those people come from that married Adam and Eve's children? And I ask these questions with genuine sincerity. I'm certain all of my questions will be answered one day. :)
Well, have a beautiful week! Good night.

Rach, cousins married each other... back then it wasn't a big deal and actually it was preferred because it kept a strong blood line. When watching 'old' movies or reading older books you will notice that they want to keep the blood line pure and that is what they would do.
As for the tree, I don't know. We have to realize our ways are not God's ways and our understanding is way too limited to understand God's ways. Some of these questions we have will have to wait till we get to heaven, and even then I think we will be too joyous to even care! :)
I am proud of your study!
I love you!
