This is our 23rd Valentine's Day together and I love you so much more than you could ever imagine. 23 Valentine's Days! I just can't believe that. We shouldn't be old enough to have that many, but I'm so happy that we do. I love you oodles and bunches. :) Happy Valentine's Day, baby! When I got out of the shower this morning I noticed something on the table by the door. I went to look and Cain left me an adorable jar with heart-shaped candles and a sweet little note for Valentine's Day. :) What a sweetie!
Marshall and I exchanged cards last night. He bought me a beautiful card and two packages of chocolates. :) I had asked him not to buy me anything at all since he made the bluebird box and the birdfeeder for me, but he did anyway. Precious, I tell you!
Today I picked Kandi up while she had her car repaired and we headed to Calhoun to take some things back to the outlet mall that we needed to return. The outlet mall has a Bath & Body Works outlet store and I think that place is evil. I can't NOT go in there. I bought $24 worth of stuff today but I got four big bottles of handsoap, "Simply Divine Cherry Pie" body lotion, a sugared raspberry candle, and pink grapefruit hand lotion and body spray. All that stuff in the regular store would've been near $100, so I was very excited. :)
I dropped Kandi off and headed home. I picked Marshall up and we went to the nursing home to take some candy and a stuffed animal to one of Marshall's mother's friends that stays there. It was so sad there. There were lots of elderly folks by the door in their wheelchairs and one followed me all the way down the long hall (dragging herself in her wheelchair). When she caught up with me she said, "Hi. Who are you?" and I told her my name and asked her if she enjoyed their Valentine's Day party. She said that she did and then asked me if I had some candy for her, so I gave her some candy. I came out just a boo-hooing. Marshall looked at me like I was nuts. It was just so sad to see all of them in there with no one there visiting. It takes a strong, STRONG soul to work in a place like that. I really admire folks who do.
We left there and headed down to watch Cain's baseball practice. I can't wait for the season to start. It starts at the end of this month. I hope it has warmed up nicely by then, but I know that it won't.
Anyway, I leave you with this song that is one of "our" songs. Sorry about the cheesy video but I couldn't find the Alan Jackson video. :( Besides, you don't need to watch it, you just need to listen. :) I hope you all had a beautiful Valentine's Day. :)
Like red on a rose
When your lips first smiled at me
I was captured instantly
To each his own
Like blue in the sky
The gaze of your willing eyes
Touched something deep inside
The truth be known
That I love you like all little children love pennies
And I love you ‘cause I know that I can’t do anything wrong
You’re where I belong
Like red on a rose
And I love you like all little children love pennies
And I love you like good times of which I’ve known many
And I love you ‘cause I know you give me a heart of my own
You make my blood flow
Like red on a rose
