Union College is in Barbourville, Kentucky and about 3.5 hours away from us. He should see a lot of playing time and we're very happy about that. The school is a very good school. He wants to teach special education children and then go into coaching. We're very proud of him.
I wanted to share with you the card I bought for him because I think its words are so beautiful:
When pride in yourself
is the wind in your wings,
how high and how far you can soar!
When hope and hard work
are the sails of your ship,
what remarkable worlds
you'll explore...
When dreams are the stars
that you never lose sight of
in spite of the dark or distress,
in time you'll discover,
(wherever life takes you)
the treasure your heart calls...
success.
Isn't that beautiful?! I thought so, too. :)
I mentioned that we will be having a cookout in his honor and that all friends and family are invited. It's going to be several weeks before we can do that because Marshall has a lot of work coming up and will even be gone for a couple of weeks here shortly. Cain has also started baseball and that's going to take up a lot of time, too. We will send out invites (via email or phone calls) when the time is right. You'll all be here, right? :)
Later, gators.

Should I expect a phone invite, email or butt-o-gram?

*sniff* I'm so proud for you all!
congrats, cain! We're all suuuuper proud of you. And I definitely commend you on your career choice; it takes an amazing person to have the patience and will to work with special needs kids. Good luck and best wishes!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm so happy for mom & dad too, that it won't be too far away.
