TGIF!

We hung around the house for the beginning of the day and then loaded up around 2 to head to Cain's baseball game which was about 2.5 hours from here. We got our butts handed to us. :(

One of our kids--a junior--was pitching and the batter hit a hard line drive right back to him. It hit his shoulder and then slammed in to his temple. He dropped like a sack of potatoes and we thought he had been knocked unconscious. It was terrifying. He has the imprint of the baseball stitches in his face. I hope his parents take him to the ER room just to make sure he's ok. He had immediate swelling near his temple. Very scary stuff. Here's a picture, but not a great one. I wish I'd have thought to get his phone # so we could call and check on him. After the game the boy that hit him and a couple of other players from the other team came over and checked on him. I thought that was very, very sweet of them. I overheard him tell the batter "that was a good hit." :) At least he kept his sense of humor. I bet his mother passes out when she sees it. I know I would had I not been there when it happened.

We are getting up early and going to Collinsville, Alabama to the huge flea market they have down there. Honey says we're leaving at six a.m., which means that I'd have to be up by 4:30ish to get ready. I just don't see that happening. It's almost midnight and he's still sitting in there talking to Cain and Jake and I don't see them going to bed any time soon.

Talked to my MIL and my SIL today and they said that my FIL is in a lot of pain. :( I'm sure that he is. Thankfully a hospital bed was ordered for him so that he may have an easier time getting up and out of bed. Please continue to keep him and our family in your prayers.
