Warm Weather

I want to be this lady when I'm a senior. :) I spotted her last month in St. Augustine and thought she was adorable. She was riding with her husband, camera strapped around her neck. How cute is she?! (And YES I'm serious!)

My FIL came home this afternoon. We were all flabbergasted by that. His back is broken. His pelvic bone is broken, and that other bone I mentioned yesterday is broken. They gave him painkillers, no back brace. They came in this morning and told him they'd may need to do surgery to put pins in his back and the next thing we know is that they are letting him go home. I'm not sure what constitutes a hospital stay these days.

We followed my MIL and FIL to our hometown and then hubby rode up the mtn. with his Dad while my MIL stayed with me. We got his prescription and lunch and headed to their house. I'm glad hubby was there to help him in. He said it was sad because he knew it hurt his Dad so much walking to the house and then up their steps to get in. Heck, it almost made me sick just watching him sit up in his hospital bed...I seriously thought I might faint for a second. I can't stand to see someone in pain like that. Poor guy. Anyway, glad that my MIL didn't have to see him in that pain.

Marshall mowed the yard when we got home and it looks a little better. We still have lots of sticks and leaves to pick up. I hate it when my yard is a mess. I'm ready for some MAJOR spring cleaning. I hope we can work on it some this weekend. :)

We sat outside until almost dark. I think the high today was around 75. It was gorgeous out there. I'm so ready for all of the cold weather to be gone. We are probably going to Collinsville (Alabama) this weekend for the big flea market and I'm looking forward to that. I sure hope it stays warm. :)

I've been meaning to share this beautiful business card with y'all. My pal Kandi made it for my Dad. She took the photos of his artwork and him and did a great job with the design, don't you think? :)

Oh Rachel, that is just precious! I do the same thing... I will see a little old lady doing something that I think I would do and then I say... Oh that is me when I get old! :)
