More Storms

Here are my two favorite gals. They were playing on my bed yesterday before Brooke went to meet one of her buddies. Brooke is very sick today. She has a bad sinus infection and she's asleep right now. I hope she feels better, bless her heart. Cain had it first and I guess that's how Brooke got it.

We had some more amazing storms move through today. They weren't as good as what we've had, but they are still packing some amazing thunder and lightning. I took this video, and you can hear the thunder and see the lightning flashes (you can also hear the jarflys (cicadas) as they were going nuts). About 26 seconds in, you can see a pretty good bolt of lightning flash:



I have been meaning to mention this before but I keep forgetting. You know how you're in a theater watching the movie previews and you hear a song on a preview that is PERFECT for the movie it's showing with? Well, when Brooke and I went to see The Dark Knight, they showed us the preview to The Watchmen. In it was an old Smashing Pumpkins song, "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning" (ironically from the Batman & Robin soundtrack). I LOVED the music. Here's the trailer:



Brooke and I both burst out laughing when the guy says, "The world will look up and shout, 'Save us," and I'll whisper......... 'NO!'" LOL! That's just...dorky. Surely he could think of a better reply than that.

I love most movie music. I have more soundtracks than just about anything (besides classical). I love the instrumentals. Some of the music, like the soundtrack to Braveheart, for example, or The Last of the Mohicans, really moves me. Anyway, loved that Smashing Pumpkins song. I just really love the music. :)
