I took this photo last night after we booked it up to our room. The bird was an added bonus for this photo. LOL! I was trying to shoot the clouds after they had moved over the ocean, but this gull thought I had something to eat, I reckon. :)
After I took a few photos yesterday (like the ones in yesterday's post) we had to rush to get off the beach. Those storms move faster than one might think. The sand started blowing with the gusting of the wind so it was all over us, and all over my camera. :( You should've seen all the people scrambling around. It was pretty funny.
We're getting ready to leave. I can't believe we only had one day to spend here. :( Oh well... Before we head home we're going to stop by Magnolia Plantation. I'm very excited. :)
Later, gators!

I love the storm pics! They are awesome.
I was on the beach once when the sand was blowing so hard, it was like being in a sandblaster. It HURT. We went to the Outer Banks on the tail end of Hurricane Ivan. When we arrived, the surf was 13 feet high. It was beautiful. But the sand... ouch.
I can't wait to take the coconut to the beach! I was thinking that on my drive home tonight, about walking along the beach holding her when she is tiny, dipping her little feet in the water. I think if I have the energy (and a friend to go with me ahem ahem) I'll take her while on maternity leave.
