Really? It's Saturday?

I can't believe it's Saturday. My days are so screwed up. All day I've thought it was Sunday. Actually I think I've thought it was Sunday for two days now. I don't know why.

Marshall and I got up this morning and did some yard work. We planted the butterfly bush that he bought me and then I raked the side of the yard where all of my birdfeeders are. There were sticks and small limbs all over the place up there for some reason. It looks much better now.

I think I've mentioned it before, but I REALLY like to rake. It gives me such peace of mind. I don't know why. I'll stay out and rake for hours and when I'm finished, I feel like a million bucks. I guess it's a form of meditation for me.

After my maternal grandmother developed Alzheimer's disease, (and was in the third or fourth stage) she also started raking a lot. She would stay in the yard for hours raking. I wonder if it gave her the same peace of mind that it gives me? That would be comforting if that was the case. I think I'll just believe that it was.

Brooke rafted down the Ocoee River today with her boyfriend, his parents, and sister. I cannot BELIEVE that she did it. Marshall and I were headed up there to watch but didn't make it in time. :( Chad's parents bought a CD with the photos on there and I can't wait to see them. There are some rough, rough rapids in that river and my pal Kandi actually witnessed a river guide die in the river. That fact alone is enough to make me just enjoy watching it from the river bank.

Cain finally came home tonight. He has been gone since Wednesday and it's good to have him home, even if he did walk in, go to the bathroom, come out and kiss me on the forehead and go to bed. Seeing him for probably 30 seconds or so is better than not seeing him at all. :)

Night. :)

Hello friend,
I used to be brave and I rafted down the Ocoee, it was great fun... but since I am a parent now and am a super huge chicken I don't know if I could do it again. :)
Glad you guys have been having such nice days!
Love,
Chas

I love you! You are so cute with your scardie cat ways.

And here I am HOPING the coconut does something like become a river guide. In Alaska or Africa so I can go visit.
