So Forgetful

This is the other side of that variegated fritillary that I showed yesterday. :)

I meant to talk about this yesterday, but I forgot:

Yesterday I slept late, well, not too late, but late for me. I got up around 9:45. I fiddled around the house for a little while and then jumped in the shower.

To make a long story short, Cain was going to church and asked me to go, but I knew there was no way I'd make it in time so I told him no. Marshall ended up going with him and I felt awful for not rushing to get ready to go.

Instead, I clicked on www.billygraham.org to hear one of his sermons. One of the first ones I ran across was "Excuses," which you can listen to by clicking that link. I thought it fitting. It was a great sermon and it really applied to how I was feeling at the time. How many of us look for any excuse to miss church? I know I've been guilty of it time and time again.

I'll put $20 worth of gas in my car to drive all over creation to take pictures, but when my Dad asks me to come to church on the mountain (and where I'm a member), I'll find myself saying that gas is too expensive. I'm not going to do that anymore.

The other sermon I listened to was "The Great Judgement." It was another wonderful sermon, from 1958. It still applied perfectly for today.

I really have always loved Billy Graham. I've never known him to be anything but a good man, who really has lived his life for the Lord. I don't think there have ever been any scandals or controversy surrounding him. I'm enjoying very much going back and listening to his old sermons. :)

A friend passed along this great deal from Snapfish.com: You can get 50 prints for 50 cents if you use the coupon code of "JUL4PENNY08." Also, if you're new to Snapfish, you will get 20 free prints for just signing up. I've used them in the past and they are pretty good. If you're going to use that code, better hurry. I'm not sure how long it lasts. Oh, and you still have to pay shipping, but it's only $3.44 for the 50 prints. :) You're welcome.

The kids are driving me batty today. They are doing it on purpose, too. You know you have those days where you just want to be left alone? They're making sure they are ALL up in my personal space and are NOT leaving me alone at all. Truthfully though, I'd rather have them driving me nuts than not have them here at all....just don't tell them that. ;)

Have a great night. :)

Of all the big Christian types, Billy Graham is one that I have a great deal of respect for. Now, Jerry Farwell and his like can join Jessie Helms.

Remind me to talk to you about the guilt and what I think. You are a good and wonderful person. Don't feel guilty.
