Yay! It's Finished!

Our back porch and deck are FINALLY finished! Can you believe it?!

We may still paint the poles on the porch itself (not the ones on the deck), but we're not sure if we want to do that. It's not a priority at this time.

All the deck staining is done, and Marshall, Cain, and Jake put up the screen on the back porch today, you just can't see it in this photo.

That's our patio furniture that I told you about the other day. In case you missed it, it was regularly $800 at Home Depot but they had it on clearance for $300--for the table, the chairs and their cushions. :) The table has a firepit in the center part. We're so excited! :) :) :)

You can see Lucy checking everything out. :) I should've swept the porch before I took this picture, but I didn't. :) We still have to clean up the lower part there (under the porch), but we'll get to that later.

I want some of those flower boxes that sit on the railings of the deck, but those will have to wait for a while. :( Brooke and Cain both start college in three weeks and we have things to buy for them.

I LOVE my screened-in back porch. We enjoyed it for the first time this evening and watched the moon rise. It was orange tonight, and beautiful. :)

I fell asleep around 3:30 this morning, and bounced out of bed at 8:30. I kept myself busy today so that hopefully I'll be able to fall asleep as soon as my head hits the bed. Wish me luck...
