Beautiful Day

This horse was having a wonderful time prancing around the field at Reflection Riding at the Chattanooga Nature Center. Her two pasture mates couldn't have been less interested in her, so she pranced right up to one of them, bit it, and took off. It was pretty funny to witness. Too bad I'm too nutballish (new word) to take a picture of it.

I'm back to the no-sleeping thing again. Yay! *sigh* I've had about three hours of sleep but I'm pretty alert for some reason. I got up at a little after 5 this morning when my hubby got up to go to work, and I took a shower and then straightened the house while waiting on the day to start.

I left the house at 9:30ish and dropped Lucy off at the kennel, then headed to Kandi's studio to pick her up. We went and had breakfast, and then headed to the nature center...well, we headed there AFTER some nice men jumped my car off. For some reason I turned my lights on this morning and forgot to turn them off. My battery was as dead as a door knob.

Someone, and I'm not going to mention any names, didn't bring a SINGLE camera to the fun shoot this morning. Someone (who may be a professional photographer--I just can't say) even LOST a camera before our fun shoot. Yes, she lost one of her cameras. Thankfully she found it tonight, but still... Anyway, we had a good time. :) It was good seeing Kandi again. We haven't got to hang out in a long time, what with my brat kids being home all summer. ;)

Yesterday, honey and I got up and headed over to Jasper and South Pittsburg (in Tennessee) to go to that old cemetery that I love over there. First we stopped by that little creek so I could see if there were any butterflies there, then we moved on.

Last year at this time we went over to those places and there were different flowers blooming and there were butterflies everywhere. This time, not so much. :(

We went the long way around the mountain and then stopped and had a great visit with his parents. The other day at the cookout we didn't get to spend a lot of time with them so I'm glad we got to go up there today.

We got home and relaxed for a little bit and then headed to Chattanooga to watch Trion play their pre-season football game. It felt weird not having Cain out there playing, but we sure did enjoy the game. I'm SO ready for fall and football season. :)

We had pizza on the way home and man, it was delicious (Mr. T's Pizza in St. Elmo for you locals). We rolled the windows down in the car and enjoyed the drive home. It was a terrific day, and today has been, too. :)

Night!
