Frimpong Is Here!

I have a new guest. :) Frimpong, a bear from England, is here to spend a couple of months with us.

I'll wait while you call me a dork...go ahead...

Back? Ok. ;)

This is the only photo I can show you of Frimpong. He arrived today from Ireland. My postal carriers had their photo made with him before we left the post office. I told them that it was sad that a stuffed animal is more traveled than I will ever be in my whole life.

Frimpong is a traveling bear and he has been to more countries than I can count. Photographers take turns inviting him to their part of the world and when he arrives you take him to visit your area. When his visit with me is up, you can see my gallery of where we have been by going to his gallery: Frimpong the Traveling Bear. You can go there now to see where he's been so far. I'm so excited that he's here. :)

Ok, so about my day:

Kandi came to the house this morning and we headed to the post office to pick up Frimpong. We left there, grabbed us a biscuit and then headed up on the mountain. The first place we stopped was at my aunt's house where she has beautiful sunflowers growing near the main road.

I probably should've let her know we were coming because her sister-in-law saw us out there from her house and we saw that she was on the phone. The next thing I knew is that she was yelling at us, so I had yell rather loudly to let her know it was me. My uncle left me a voicemail saying I was lucky I wasn't shot. LOL It seems that people just stop by and steal the sunflowers. I'm lucky to still be alive!

We left there and headed towards West Brow and stopped at Lookout Mountain Hang Gliding and took a few photos there. We hung out on the mountain for a while and then headed back to the valley.

We had lunch at Logan's (it was delicious) and then came back to my house. Marshall, Kandi, and I went to Kandi's late father's house because Kandi told us someone had broken in and stole her father's guns. Marshall fixed the door so no-one else could break in, and then he decided to mow the yard for her since it looked more like a hay field than a yard.

We came back home and sat on the back porch for a while. It feels SO good outside. I'm loving this weather.

In the morning we'll be getting ready to head to Montomery, Alabama to watch Cain play ball. He plays Saturday at noon so we want to get there early just in case the traffic is bad tomorrow.

Today was a terrific day. :) Oh, and Monday is the official beginning of fall. YAY!

Night!

I took Bear Bear with me on most of my adventures. In retrospect, I wish I had taken him to Peru. I was too scared to loose him at that point and didn't want the extra weight. Traveling light and all.

It was great having Bear Bear when I traveled alone... there wasn't always someone around to take my picture standing in front of a huge waterfall or Mount Rainer, so I would plop Bear Bear down and take his picture.

I look forward to spending time with Frimpong! I saw we take him to the Corn Maze.
