We Got It!

This was last night's sunset. Spectacular, huh? Sadly, there are powerlines and trees mostly blocking my view of our sunsets so I have to walk all the way to the edge of the yard and maneuver this way and that so I can get a good shot. This one was nothing short of glorious.

We got the car! We got the car! Last night I looked at the Blue Book value and the dealer was selling it for almost $3,000 than it's value. He even told us (Marshall knows these people so we know he was being truthful) that it made him sick to sell it to us for what he did --that a year ago he could've got several more thousand for it, but with gas prices what they are, the value for SUV's aren't what they used to be. I didn't have a problem with him selling it to us like that. :D

This car, when sold brand new, sold for over $40,000. It is LOADED and I do mean LOADED. It has: leather seats, cruise control, the cute little blinkers on the mirrors, electronic EVERYTHING, Bose speakers (woo hoo!), third-row seating, heated seats, and other stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting to mention. It's just a flat-out sexy car. It really is.

Oh, it has OnStar AND XM Radio. I called XM and they gave us a three month trial for free to see if we want it, and I also called OnStar to see how much it is to use it each month. I have to go to a dealership to have its hardware updated from analog to digital (and that is $15). I'm not sure I'll activate the OnStar, but it would seem nice to have since we do an awful lot of traveling. My aunt made a good point when she said we have survived without it this long, and I agree, but we're going to think about it.

I did call the above-mentioned aunt to get her opinion on her Tahoe before we decided to buy this one. She bought hers used also, and said she absolutely loves it and that she's never had a minutes trouble out of it, and she's had hers for a few years. Her advice helped us make our decision. :)

Now, to tell Marshall's family that we bought a Chevy and not a Ford. ;) LOL!

I love this car! Is it wrong that I've been looking out my window all night at it? ;)

I went with Marshall this morning to look at a job and we have been gone all day long. We got the Tahoe early and then headed off. I'm SO happy to be home. :)

Kandi and I are going shooting tomorrow! Yay! :D
