Thankful

The candlelight vigil was absolutely beautiful. We weren't expecting that Donna or any other family members would come, but they did and we were so thankful. Over 300 people came to show their love, support, and to share memories of Anthony, Amber, and James.

Unfortunately during the vigil, the rain started coming down in buckets. It was raining, lightning, thundering, and the water rose very quickly. Most of the 300 people got out but about 20 or so of us were stuck at the church until almost 2 a.m.

Our county was declared a State of Emergency and all roads were closed, even Hwy. 27. The flooding is just awful. We were pretty frightened when we drove home from the church but it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be.

We were so thankful for the huge turnout last night. I'm so lucky to live in such a loving community.

Sounds like a loving community and a loving God that protected you inside that church during some pretty bad weather.
