Happy Halloween

I got up this morning at 5:30, hopped in the shower, got ready, curled my hair, got my make-up on and waited for Marshall to get up. He got up and almost immediately went over to our neighbor's house to help him fix his car.

I was SO happy that he could help the neighbor because we love them to pieces, but disappointed that we didn't get to go anywhere like we had planned to do (we were just going to go look at the fall colors, no biggie). By the time he got finished it was almost 3 p.m. and by that time the day was just really over.

Cain and Ashley went to Ashley's families house so it was just Marshall and I at home for the evening. I went to the grocery store and we cooked out hamburgers and just sat home and watched television.

We only had about 10 trick or treaters tonight. We've never had that many before. Of course, we're usually not here on Halloween either.

I wonder if any day is wasted when we have the opportunity to help someone else -- and to sit and home and enjoy each other's company. Pretty picture. We don't get a change of seasons where I live.l
