Yesterday we went and looked at cars because my Tahoe - with almost 200,000 miles - is on its last leg. We looked around the lot and found a few cars that we like, but the dealer (who we always use) told us he was getting some new cars in on Friday & suggested we wait, so we told him we'd come back on Friday.
What I didn't know, was that while I was test-driving a car, my hubby was inside making a deal on a car that was already there in the back. It's a demo car, a Chevy Malibu (2011) with 40,000 miles on it.
So today my hubby tells me to get the Tahoe cleaned out and to take it on over to the dealer to let them see what they would give us on trade for it. I took it over there and this beauty of a car was sitting there with a big, red bow on it! :) Can you believe that? How romantic is that? And the best part is, is that our payments are the same as we had paid on the Tahoe so no higher payments for a better car. Woo hoo!
I love it, and now I can go to Florida to see my beautiful daughter and wonderful son-in-law without worrying that my car might not make it.
I am SO blessed. :)
We did some Christmas shopping this evening and then had supper together. He's leaving for a job tomorrow, then another on Monday, so I won't get to see him until next Friday. :(
