Merry Christmas!

I am not alone at all, I thought. I was never alone at all. And that, of course, is the message of Christmas. We are never alone. Not when the night is darkest, the wind coldest, the word seemingly most indifferent. For this is still the time God chooses.
- Taylor Caldwell, 1900 - 1985

We missed Brooke today but we had a fabulous Christmas. Hubby and I, however, opened gifts WITHOUT Cain because he didn't get his lazy butt up and down here until almost 10. I was not a happy Mom.

Later in the day we went to my Dad's house for Christmas supper. We had a FABULOUS supper that my stepmother prepared. It was so delicious. We enjoyed some family time with them and I hope we make it a tradition to go to their house every Christmas evening for supper.

I hope that your Christmas was a beautiful one. This was the first Christmas without my grandfather and I sure did think about him a lot today. All of my grandparents are celebrating in Heaven now. I'm sure they sang a horrible, tone-deaf "Happy Birthday" song to Jesus. ;)

Merry Christmas!
