Project FeederWatch

Project FeederWatch started today and I had a pretty good day of bird watching and counting considering I'm just getting my feeding stations set up here at our new place.

I have a lot of the same birds I had in the valley, and hopefully the woodpeckers will be brave enough to come to my feeders soon (I've seen them, but just not at my feeders yet). I've seen every bird I had in the valley (for this time of year). I also have birds that I didn't have as regulars, like the Dark-eyed Junco in the above photo.  I'm all kinds of excited.

Here are a few of my visitors today:

Carolina Chickadee:

White-breasted Nuthatch:

White-throated Sparrow:

Northern Cardinal:

Carolina Wren:

Mourning Dove:

It was a great day, as you can see. :)

These are wonderful! I love your birdwatching shots!
Does is stay warm enough for you to sit out and watch them?
