This is my Mom. I took her to Birmingham, Alabama (about 2 hours away) to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) for a few tests to be ran on her lungs.
She has C.O.P.D. & emphysema, both of which we knew, but we had to see how far they've progressed. She's doing pretty good, but her doctor (of course!) urged her to quit smoking.
I wish she would. She is 63 and says she started smoking with her older brothers when she was 13. THIRTEEEN, folks. That's insane. Fifty years.
Don't smoke. Sheesh.
