The sun came out for just a little while today but it was still rainy for the majority of the day We decided to get out anyway. We went to Skyline Wildlife Management Area in northeast Alabama - one of our favorite places to go.
We drove across that creek, which usually isn't quite that deep. I was too chicken to go across until my husband tested the waters (the videos look better if you watch in 1080p):
Fun, huh? Here he is coming back out:
I finally went across with him. :) Here are some of the things I saw today:
A Six-spotted Tiger Beetle:
A Wolf spider with her egg sac attached:
A Wolf spider with her babies on her back:
A Carolina Satyr butterfly (only a couple of inches high):
This pretty oxalis:
Lots of other things, too. It was a great day. :)
