Happy 4th!

This photo is from last year when we watched fireworks from Mexico Beach, Fla. It sure was pretty to watch them burst over the ocean.

Today honey and I went to the movies, which is something we rarely do together. It was packed because of the rain in our area. We watched "White House Down," which stars Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx.  It was a pretty good movie, certainly a guys film (& much like any of the Die Hard movies).

We had supper at Olive Garden because I thought I could chew pasta a little better than I could chew anything else and I was right. I am still having to take my pain meds though to get through the day and I HATE taking pain meds - especially those of the addictive kind.

I bought myself a new pocketbook. It was $49 and the most I've ever spent on a pocketbook. It felt ridiculous to spend that much on one, but there were more that were WAY more expensive. I really want one of those pretty Fossil pocketbookss but I can't make myself fork over the $200ish it would cost to get one. WHO has that kind of money to spend on a purse, and even if you DO have that kind of money, why would you spend it on a purse?  Anyway...

It is raining and raining and raining and I'm loving it. I'm hoping that my cousin is building my chicken coop since it's raining. He owns his own construction company and he's very busy right now. He said my chicken coop would have to wait for a rainy day.  Well, it's raining. YAY! I can't wait to have chickens.
