Pine Log State Park

Brooke had to go to orientation at her new school today so hubby and I explored a couple of the local state parks.

The photo above is from Pine Log State Forest. It was such a beautiful area and we enjoyed our hike. Hubby, who is absolutely terrified of spiders, ran into the web of a smaller one of these:

Legs and all it's about as big as my hand. It's a Golden silk orb-weaver, and it's absolutely gorgeous.  I still don't want to have that web smack me in my face. :)

We went out to eat with Brooke and Chad when they both got off work and then went back to their house to play games. We are staying in a hotel for a couple of nights so hubby can feel like he's on vacation. ;)

Night!
