A Present?

That there is a rattlesnake. It's a timber rattler, or a canebrake rattlesnake.

My husband called and said he had me a present. I was scared. Y'all remember the Homer Simpson Chia Head I got for Christmas a few years back, right? Yeah...

But no, when he got home he called me out to his truck and he had this rattlesnake in a bucket. I was seriously excited because we rarely ever see rattlesnakes around here anymore. It was crawling across the road and he didn't want it to get killed (because someone would've killed it for sure).

I was so happy that he brought it home. I'm not kidding. I got a few shots of it and then one of my Dad's friends came and got the snake. It will live a long and happy life away from any roads. :)
