Chickens!

This is a Cicada, or what we call a jar fly. He just popped out all fresh and pretty. I L-O-V-E to hear them in the evenings, or at any time really.

Chickens, y'all. Tomorrow we're getting chickens! I can't even tell you how excited I am. I've been waiting over a year on chickens.

My husband just asked if I was going to shovel the chicken litter which promptly made me squeal with delight. I'm not kidding. I'm excited about having chicken poop. That's okay, right? I mean I'm REALLY excited! Chicken poop! Yay! Do you know how good chicken poop is for flower beds and gardens? It's terrific stuff I tell you. :)

So yay! Chickens!
