Time With Brooke

This was the bayou last night as a storm was building. The sky was breathtaking and these photos do it no justice.

It was unbelievably beautiful. I couldn't take my eyes off of it.

Unfortunately the mosquitos couldn't take their eyes off of us so we had to leave sooner than I wanted.  Still though, it was just beautiful.

Today I spent the day with Brooke in her classroom. She teaches third grade and I just don't know how teachers do it these days.

Watching my daughter teach these children is pretty impressive. For example, after she asked the kids to be quiet - like ninjas - & then praising the kids who WERE quiet, one little boy raised his hand (& was commended for being patient);  & asked "What if a Ninja has to fart?" which sent the rest of the class into a fit of giggles. Brooke kept a straight face. What a great teacher! ;)

I'm leaving for home early in the morning as Brooke and her hubby leave for work. Wish there was more time to spend together.
