Sunset

The other night's sunset. Ain't that pretty?

One of my hens is sick. It breaks my heart.  We got antibiotics so hopefully she will recover. I hope we aren't too late.

My husband told me that I shouldn't keep animals because it always hurts me too bad when something happens. That's true. He's right. I guess I'll have to learn to deal with death because, you know, it's gonna happen. And I know "it's just a chicken," but she's a great chicken with her own little personality. She's not "just a chicken" to me.
