Color Me Rad

Today was my very first 5k. I was only able to run for a little bit, but I did okay. I'd run, then walk for a bit, (lather, rinse, repeat).  I had a great time. A FANTASTIC time and I'm so glad that I did it.  The Color Me Rad 5k raises money for the Make A Wish Foundation, and who doesn't want to support that?

Some pics from today:

Not sure who this person is, but I want that shirt:

Color bombs!

My friend, Jen, who (along with my SIL) encouraged me and kept me motivated when all I wanted to do was apologize for not being able to run the whole time.

Ran through several clouds of this (dyed corn starch):

What a fabulous time we had!

We stopped by Cracker Barrel and had breakfast. When we got home I took about a 40-minute shower. It took for-EVER to get all that color off, and I still have color on my toes. I got sick of scrubbing. :)

I took about an hour nap then got up and helped hubby plant four fruit trees, a pink dogwood tree, and then do some major yard work.

It was a very busy day and I enjoyed every second of it. :)
