Tybee Island Lighthouse

This is the Tybee Island Lighthouse. Isn't it beautiful? There are 178 steps to the top. We walked to the top. I haven't walked right since. The calf muscle in my right leg is tighter than Joan Rivers face.
I have a problem and the first step to recovery is admitting that there IS a problem, right? Here goes: I take WAY too many pictures. (Thank gosh for digital photography!) In less than 36 hours at Tybee Island and Savannah I took 442 photos. No wonder Cain never smiles for any photo he's in. Mind you, they weren't ALL photos of the kids...maybe just 182 of them.
I realized that I had a problem when I was in the hotel room waiting for pictures to download off my full card so I could take MORE pictures. We seriously had not been at the beach for more than an hour and I had already filled up a card that held 78 large photos.
The rest of my family were on the beach playing and waiting on me while I was sitting in front of my laptop watching the photos load. Why didn't I just put the camera down for a while and go and enjoy the ocean and my family?
For me, not having a camera in my hand is simply like not HAVING a hand. My camera is as much a part of me as my stunning green (not hazel, Chrisi) eyes. *ahem* I don't think I could see without a camera stuck to my face.
And why would I want to, really?
Nevermind. I don't see a problem here after all.
By the way, if you want to see the Tybee Island photos you can go to my Flickr account which you can see BY CLICKING HERE. I don't have all of them loaded because believe it or not, I DO other things besides take photos, like looking at other people's photos, reading books about photography, magazines about photography, cleaning my camera, and every now and then, telling the kids I love them and admiring how much they've grown since the last time I saw them.
;)
G'night.
